The note

Why it is on the list

Girl & the Goat is still the room that put Randolph on the national map, and it has not gone quiet. Izard’s kitchen cooks like it has something to prove every night: wood oven, green beans that people order as a religion, pork that arrives too big for the table. It is loud, shared-plate, and unapologetic. First-timers should reserve and still expect a wait at the door. Regulars go for the pig face or the shank and stop pretending they will “just do a few small plates.” This is Restaurant Row’s flagship. Treat it that way.
